Adorable Puppy Photoshoot

Have you ever seen a newborn photoshoot with a puppy?! I recently came across this and loved the idea, so here are some adorable photos that I took of our new litter of Goldador puppies.

I hope this brightens up your day!

These are our female puppies. They were so good cuddling up together.
Nap time!

Above are the two brothers... Best buds for life!

I have always loved the tail shot! It just captures the hilarious personalities that puppies have!
Our only black female puppy... She is truly adorable!

The whole litter cuddled up. They are the perfect age to do a photoshoot!

Here are some tips that I found very helpful while taking photos of these little cuties:
  1. Get your props ready before you grab the pups. By doing this, you are taking a lot of stress out of the equation!
  2. Have any distractions (including the mom) out of the room. You don't want anything getting in your photo except the puppies.
  3. I am NOT a professional photographer, but one thing that really helped these pictures turn out was the lighting. Do it during the day in a room with lots of natural light.
  4. Take the pictures when the puppies have been fed first. You don't want to try taking pictures of frantic puppies scrambling for their mother's milk... If you are a dog breeder you will know exactly what I am talking about!
  5. Do it when they are young! The puppies in the photos are exactly one week old. This is the earliest you can do it to be safe. As the puppies get older I will be taking more photos, but none like this. As they learn to walk and play, it will be extremely hard to keep them still!!
  6. Have fun! Make it a fun, happy experience! Who wouldn't want to be you, taking photos of cute puppies!
Well, enjoy taking pictures of your pups! Also, on a side note, these puppies are available so if you want to check out more adorable pics and get in touch you can visit our Facebook page at Peters Puppy Page.
